Eskil Bast has a bachelor degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Trondheim.

Bast lives and works in Oslo and Stavern, where he arranges, curates and participates in art exhibitions and collaborative projects on the field of photography.

He is one of the founders of Kunsthall Stavern.
In 2017, he received the State Arts Grant from the Arts Council.
